Luxury vinyl flooring: Most value for your decorating dollar
It's so stylish; it can be installed in any room in the house, some of those being high-end homes where once nothing but genuine wood or stone would be considered. While the waterproof property makes luxury vinyl (LVF) especially ideal for high moisture areas, like the kitchen or bathroom, the style makes it an excellent choice for living and dining spaces or bedrooms. Unfortunately, the images are so realistic sometimes even the flooring experts can't tell the difference; your wallet will know, however, because you won't pay nearly the same price for genuine wood or stone.
Affordable luxury
With true-to-life designs inspired by nature, this material will give you realistic wood, stone, and tile looks, available in vibrant colors and patterns. Images are taken with digital photography, so there'll be knots, swirls, grains, veining variations or chevron, herringbone, encaustic-style, and filigree tile designs. In addition, the material has micro beveling and embossing to add depth, dimension, and textured looks, adding realism. It comes in two forms: vinyl plank flooring, where the material is cut to mimic hardwood boards, or LVT flooring, referring to groutable squares to echo stone or tile.

Kid-and-pet-friendly enough to withstand any wear
The vinyl itself is durable, and LVF is five times thicker than standard. A multi-layered product with the top layer a transparent, robust, melamine wear layer that protects the floor from scratches and scuffs. This flooring is waterproof from bottom to top and can be submerged when appliance floods or spills occur. Especially if you have extra durability needs, choose a thick wear layer of 20-mils.
Scrubbing floors is a thing of the past!
All these needs are regular sweeping and periodic damp mopping. Be sure to use a manufacturer-approved cleaner and avoid waxy, shine-promoting ones because they can dull. Stubborn stains will need the advice of a flooring expert, as they can sometimes be removed with something as simple as a baking soda paste.
Easy installation
This is especially fast and uncomplicated when installed as a floating floor. Here, the pieces click together, mat, and hover over the subfloor without nails or glue. Most subfloors, even concrete, are acceptable and need to be clean, dry, and level.
